Campus Involvement

Alpha Xi Delta's aren't just sorority women, but we strive to get involved in clubs and other organizations. We believe the more you strengthen your skill set of time management and other extra extracurriculars, the better you can become not only within our sorority but as ever-growing and evolving woman. 

 

Lacey Hamrick

Member of Miracle Makers

How long have you been in that organization?: 1 semester

What do you do?: I am learning to help with designs that we may need for fundraising, advertising, and anything else that is needed.

What made you join?: I joined due to the cause in support of Dayton Children’s and the kids and families that use the hospital. I have a strong connection with Children’s so the fact I can give back now through Miracle Makers is amazing!

 

 

Kay Bell

Member of Astronomy Club

How long have you been in that organization?: 1 Semester

What do you do?: I serve as the VP of Greek Life and handle communications between Greek Life organizations and Astronomy Club. 

What made you join?: I was interested in Astronomy and saw this opportunity on campus. 

Member of Rainbow Alliance

How long have you been in that organization?: 1 Semester

What do you do?: I am taking part in the LGBTQIA+ Community here on campus. 

What made you join?: I was looking for a community on campus. 

 

 

Chloë Johnston

Member of the Dean’s Student Advisory Board

How long have you been in that organization?: 1 Semester

What do you do?: I provide feedback to the Dean of the College of Liberal Arts regarding CoLA student concerns and perspectives and how to improve the college.

What made you join?: I was nominated by the school chair to serve on the board and accepted as it is a great opportunity to get to improve campus and have my voice heard. 

 

Wright State University Writing Center

How long have you been in that organization?: 1 Semester

What do you do?: I am Writing Coach and want to help students improve their writing as well as build my peer mentoring skills. 

What made you join?: I have been passionate about writing for years and consider myself a strong writer, so the Writing Center gives me an opportunity to hone my skills as well as help people on campus.

Wright State University Writing Center

How long have you been in that organization?: 2 Semesters

What do you do?: I am Writing Coach and aim to help students develop their writing abilities and become confident, independent writers. 

What made you join?: I want to be an English teacher and joining the Writing Center gives me the opportunity to get hands-on experience with students and the ability to enrich the Wright State community.
